For the third time we welcome you to the Suomi Winter Event. In cooperation with our partnerstables the Ranch of Suomi we organize the 7-day SWE. Various disciplines are waiting for you and your horses, there will be something for everyone. Heart of our event is the 2-day endurance race to the Ranch of Suomi.
We will wish you all luck and have fun with us in Finland.

Dress Code
There are, as in the previous year, no starting numbers.
For dressage, the rider have to wear an usual dressage outfit. If you have your own dressage outfit with you stable colors, feel free to use this.
For the Rodeo you have to wear a helmet, you are also allowed to wear elbow and shin guards.
For the endurance race you have to wear warm clothes, we can recommend sweater and thick down jackets. You will also receive one or two thick blankets to cover you in the night.

The Environment
This year the winter was again generous to us, the entire landscape is covered with snow.

Disciplins:
1st of December - Cross Country
The event starts on the Schattenwald Stables. Until now, there is nearly no snow and the temperatures are still above freezing point. We start with the Cross Country. The race starts at Juttuajärvi. The lake is not iced. From there, it goes behind the stud through the coniferous forest. The soil is moist but not slippery. We use various natural obstacles, old rotten tree trunks up to evergreen bushes almost everything is represented. As before, we do not use obstacles with water. The race ends in front of the stud near the pasture. Here are some of the guests horses and our own horses. The complete path is marked with torches and triangular flags in white and blue.

2nd of December - Dressage and Rodeo
The dressage arena is defined by a knee-high white fence. You can see in the background the snowy pine forest. On the other side you can see the indoor arena, the building is like any other building on the stud, an old half-timbered house with dark wood. At the windows you can still see frost flowers. The corners are lit with torches. At the borders to the tribune you will find banners form our sponsors.

In the late afternoon the rodeo will be held in the indoor arena. As usual you need to try to ride one of our wild stallions, SW TNT or SW Vihan>. Both stallions are very wild and uncontrollable. You can choose by yourself wich of the two you want to ride. The rider who will stay the longest time on the horse will win.. You have to wear a helmet, arm- and leg protection can be worn too. The arena is covered with dark sand, there is a wooden fence, which was wrapped with foam.

3rd of December - Endurance Race Start
This year, the endurance race will be very tough, the temperatures are icy and there is a lot of snow. Each participant will receive a high-quality sleeping bag and a warm tent and a warm blanket for the horse. You are allowed to take as much tea and soup with you, you can carry (in a thermos). If a participant wants to end the race prematurely, everyone gets with a walkie-talkie, with which he can get in touch with us. We advise you to wear several warm sweaters, down jackets, gloves and warm socks, best here are several.
The race takes you from the Shattenwald Stables to the nearly 210 km away Ranch of Suomi. You come through snowy forests, past frozen lakes and snowy fields. Some of the flowing waters are not quite frozen, especially the larger rivers. The water is icy, do not forget that!

4th of December - Endurance race end
The race ends at the Ranch of Suomi. Towards the end of the race it starts to snow again.
Arrived at the Ranch of Suomi everyone receive a warm soup and a hot tea. Your horse is examined by our vet and may relax in the warm barn.

5th of December - Show Jumping and Race
The Show Jumping takes place in the indoor arena of the Ranch of Suomi. The building is an old timbered house, the interior walls are lined with birch wood. Through the windows you can see the snow storm. The arena is bounded by a wooden fence. At the borders to the tribune you will find banners form our sponsors. The sand in the arena is light and soft. There have been established several obstacles all in the colors of the Ranch of Suomi, light blue + dark blue

In the afternoon the Race takes place outdoors. It is still snowing and there is a soft wind. Of the track, a large part of the snow has been removed but it is still a thin layer of snow there. The floor under the snow is solid ground, the snow is fresh and can easily whirl up.

6th of December - Halter and Ball
The Halter begins at sunset and takes place outdoors. The arena is lit with torches, the sky is clear, you can see the colorful northern lights dance across the sky. As a special feature you can perform in evening dress, because right after the tournament, the ball begins. The floor is covered with a thick layer of snow, the fences are made of rotten wood.

Immediately after the tournament, the balltakes place in the main house of the Ranch of Suomi. There are both high tables and seats. Finnish flag hanging on the walls and tables with white and blue colored bands, and decorated with white and blue colored candles.

Valuation:

This year there are no random points no additional images

• Up to 50 points for the environment
• Up to 20 points from the judges (both 10)
• Up to 10 points for weather and clothing
• Up to 20 points for creativity

In total you casn reach up to 100 points. Still we do not value your style of drawing, you are allowed too draw traditional and digital images. You can join as a beginner just like everyone else, only creativity counts!
 
• Tracing is allowed but is -5 points, References-are allowed and give no penalty, but please give these always on. Do you use any Referenc also writes that, please do so.

The Rodeo will be judged random with Random.org
You will be able to receive up to 180 points, each second will count 1 point.
